Who We Are

MCBcDNA is a student organization supported by the MCB Department. We serve the needs of the Molecular and Cell Biology undergraduate community, providing our peers with the resources for success.

What We Do

As a club, we provide a liaison between student and faculty members through a variety of organized events and workshops. Our events are open to ALL MAJORS, so don't worry if your major isn't MCB.

CALLING ALL MAJORS! 📣

MCBcDNA is recruiting members for the Spring 2022 semester! We are a student organization affiliated with UC Berkeley's MCB Department, and we serve the needs of the undergraduate community interested in biology by holding various events and workshops in order to provide our MCB peers with the resources for success. Our tight-knit organization combines leadership, networking, friendship, and professional development in a great way. To name a few, our events include Med School Night (get advice from med students, and more!), Grad School Night (learn about a post-grad career in grad school!), and Alternative Careers for MCB (learn about other careers besides grad and med school for MCB students!), as well as a complement of fun, in-club social events for members. We are now offering general membership as well, which is lower commitment than executive membership, and emphasizes meeting your other MCB peers at Cal! Attend our info session on February 1st, from 6-7PM to learn more about how to join!

Important Recruitment Dates:

* 1/25-2/4 Zoom Coffee Chats: chat 1 on 1 with an officer/executive member of MCBcDNA to learn more about the club, recruitment, or just to chat 🙂

*2/1 MCBcDNA Zoom Infosession:

*2/4 Virtual MCB Social Hour (may be in person): meet our club and other members of the UC Berkeley undergrad MCB community to hang out!

*2/8 Application for General Members due at 11:59 PM and for Executive Members due at 4PM! Applications are due February 8th, 2021, and can be found on our website on the JOIN tab. ---

MCBcDNA provides a medium for its members to prepare for the professional world. Club members will develop essential leadership, organizational, and communication skills as they interact with their club peers, plan events for the MCB and science community, and actively participate in MCBcDNA.
